Mum, the gates of Heaven stood open wide, The Angels lined up side by side, They whispered softly, we have a guest, We think they knew you needed rest, You suffered in silence, your wants were few, You never deserved what you went through, My heart aches with sadness, secret tears still flow, What it meant to lose you, no one will ever know, If you have a Mother, guard her with great care, For you never know her value until you see her vacant chair.
